IELTS is an international test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It was established in 1989 and jointly managed by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. The only purpose of this test is to asses the English language proficiency of non-native speakers. Of the many hundreds of English assessment exams IELTS has been ranking number one in preference in Kerala, India, lately.
There are two types of IELTS General and Academic.
The general Test is for people looking to migrate from India to some English speaking countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, America and so on. However, the Academic test is demanded in case of admission in Universities and for migration in case of Health care professionals.
Listening - 40 mins
Reading - 60 mins
Writing - 60 mins
Speaking - 11-14 mins
Total test time is 2 hours 44 mins
The modules are almost same in both the cases (General and Academic) except a slight difference in reading and writing (discuss in other articles).
Scoring process goes like this. Test takers receive a score for each test component. The individual scores are then averaged and rounded to produce an Overall Band Score.
It is scored on a nine-band scale, with each band corresponding to a specified competence in English. The test result is valid for 2 years from the date of Examination.
We recommend individual assessment and correction on daily basis for candidates opting to get a specific score above 6 bands in the IELTS Academic or General Tests. Get your test papers corrected and tips to improve immediately after the mock tests.
We call it Mock-Test Technically. You are allowed to take a mock-test at any time of the day and on any day for any number of times. We don’t charge extra for any mock-tests. Each mock-test reveals a sign of improvement in the candidates progression in the learning.
We assure you a band score between 7 and 9. We have individual computers made available for all candidates and we practise more than 50 listening full test before the real IETLS listening test. All our candidates always got above 7 bands in IELTS Listening tests.
As you doubt, it is commonly said that candidates never get sufficient time for reading and completing the task in 60 minutes. It is true to some extent. However, we have training methods that enable you to complete all the task in 45-50 min.
Most candidates in Kerala who reportedly have tried several attempts of IELTS Writing test have come to us saying they were unable to get the required score in writing module. Especially because of Grammar, vocabulary, idea and Fluency related problems.
Our courses for IELTS writing modules is designed in such a way that you will be able to impress the examiner with a practice of just 20 writing tasks, although we have more than 50 different essays practised even in IELTS crash course.
Needless to say, Candidates those who have difficulty in writing surely or may have difficulties in speaking as well. We have speaking session in individual rounds and group discussion happening throughout the day. This will enable candidates who excel in presenting the topics perfectly in IELTS speaking modules in the real test.
IELTS Weekend Classes:
We have facility to provide classes between 9:30am and 1:30pm on saturdays. This 4 hours practise is recommended only for people who have already appeared for the test once and need improvement only in some of the modules.
IELTS Faculty members:
Our faculty members are trained sufficiently through our central faculty training methods. They are also equipped with sufficient materials and The faculty members have experience in handling such modules for several year now. We don’t hire students to teach students.
IELTS course Fee:
You don’t have to pay a huge amount for a lengthy course. We have packages starting from 5 days to 100 days on different fee category. You pay only for the number of days you opt to study.
IELTS Exam Registration:
The candidates can book their exams on their own. For those who don’t want to take a risk of keeping a track on the form-filling, payment and courier, we do the booking from our centres. Most of our candidates are allowed to appear for exam only after taking approval from their respective faculty members.
Percentage of Pass:
There is no pass of fail in this exam. Candidates who are able to achieve their required band score that enables them for a VISA processing have passed and the other are considered failed. Our candidates only appear for exam after getting the required score in at least 10 mock-test and approved by a faculty member. The IELTS Academic test is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking environment. It reflects some of the features of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to begin studying or training.
The IELTS General Training test is for those who are going to English speaking countries for secondary education, work experience or training programs. It is also a requirement for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The test focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts.

IELTS for UKVI is a UK government-approved Secure English Language Test (SELT), as is the new test, IELTS Life Skills.
An IELTS for UKVI score can be used to prove your English language abilities in support of a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) application.

An IELTS Life Skills score can be used to prove your English Listening and Speaking abilities in support of an application for a UK family visa or settlement.
Note: If you are not making a direct application for a UK visa, you do not need to take IELTS for UKVI at a government-approved location, and you can take IELTS at any of our 1,000 test locations worldwide.
